Smartwings Launches Prague–Lisbon Flights Three Times a Week

Smartwings has launched a new direct flight service between Prague, Czech Republic, and Lisbon, Portugal, expanding travel options between Central Europe and the Portuguese capital.

The first flight took place on October 23, 2026. According to the airline, the inaugural service was fully booked, indicating strong initial interest in the new route.

Three Flights a Week Between Prague and Lisbon

Smartwings plans to operate the route three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The service provides a nonstop option for passengers travelling between the Czech Republic and Portugal.

The airline says the flight from Prague to Lisbon takes approximately three hours and 40 minutes, while the return journey to Prague takes around three hours and 25 minutes.

Boeing 737 Aircraft to Operate the Route

The new service is scheduled to use a Boeing 737 aircraft with a capacity of 189 passengers.

Direct flights can offer a more convenient alternative to itineraries involving a connection, particularly for travellers planning city breaks, business trips or holidays in Portugal.

Smartwings Expands Its Portugal Network

Lisbon becomes the fourth Portuguese destination in Smartwings' scheduled flight network. The airline already serves Porto, Funchal on Madeira and Ponta Delgada on São Miguel Island in the Azores.

The new route strengthens the airline's presence in the Portuguese market and gives travellers another direct connection between Prague and a major European tourist destination.

How Much Do Tickets Cost?

At the time of its announcement on October 23, Smartwings stated that one-way fares to Lisbon started at €120. The advertised fare included cabin baggage measuring up to 55 × 40 × 23 centimetres and weighing up to eight kilograms.

Fares and baggage conditions can vary by travel date and ticket availability. Passengers should confirm the final price, baggage allowance and applicable conditions on the airline's booking website before purchasing a ticket.

What Travellers Should Know

The Prague–Lisbon service offers another nonstop option for travellers planning to visit Portugal during the 2026–2027 winter flight season. However, operating days and schedules can vary during the season, so passengers should check their chosen dates before making travel arrangements.

Travellers can find current fares and schedules through the official Smartwings website.
