Transavia Launches Direct Seville Flights From Brest and Rennes

AIRLINE NEWS | NEW ROUTES | FRANCE–SPAIN

October 27, 2026

Transavia France has launched new direct flights connecting the Breton cities of Brest and Rennes with Seville in southern Spain, expanding travel options between western France and Andalusia for the 2026–2027 winter season.

The new Brest–Seville route began operating on Sunday, October 25, while the first Rennes–Seville service is scheduled for Monday, October 26. Both routes are part of Transavia's winter programme and offer travellers a direct alternative to connecting through larger airports.

Two Weekly Flights From Each City

Transavia will operate the Brest–Seville service twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. The route is scheduled to run during the winter season from October 25, 2026, to March 25, 2027, according to Brest Bretagne Airport.

Flights from Rennes to Seville will also operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays. The new service gives passengers in Brittany another option for reaching Andalusia without changing planes.

The routes are aimed at both holidaymakers seeking a winter city break and travellers visiting family or friends. They also provide a direct link for Spanish visitors travelling to Brittany.

Tickets Initially Advertised From €42 One Way

When Transavia announced its winter schedule in May, the airline advertised introductory fares from €42 one way on both the Brest–Seville and Rennes–Seville routes.

These were launch fares, not guaranteed prices for every departure. Actual ticket prices depend on travel dates, availability and the fare conditions at the time of booking. Travellers should check the airline's website for current prices before making plans.

Seville Joins Transavia's Regional Network

The new service adds Seville to Transavia's destinations from Brest. The airline already serves Agadir and Marrakech in Morocco, Porto in Portugal, and Marseille and Toulon in France from the Breton airport.

The launch is part of a broader strategy to expand Transavia's regional network and offer more direct international routes outside Paris. The airline also announced new winter services from Nantes and Bordeaux to Cairo, alongside a Nantes–São Vicente route in Cape Verde.

For regional airports, new international connections can help attract visitors in both directions while giving local residents more travel choices without the need for an additional domestic flight or a long journey to a major hub.

Why Visit Seville in Winter?

Seville is the capital of Andalusia and is known for its historic architecture, Moorish heritage, lively plazas and flamenco culture. Its main attractions include the Royal Alcázar, Seville Cathedral and the Plaza de España.

The winter season can offer a more comfortable setting for sightseeing than the hottest months of summer. Visitors can explore the city's historic centre, enjoy traditional tapas and discover Andalusian culture during a short break.

The new routes also make it easier for visitors from southern Spain to reach Brittany, a region known for its coastline, historic towns and maritime heritage.

What Travellers Should Know

The Brest–Seville and Rennes–Seville services are part of Transavia's winter 2026–2027 schedule. Passengers should confirm operating days and current fares directly with the airline before booking, as schedules and prices may change.

With two weekly flights from each city, the new routes offer additional direct connections between Brittany and southern Spain during the winter travel season.
