Hainan Airlines Unveils Winter 2026–2027 Flight Schedule

Hainan Airlines is preparing to introduce its winter 2026–2027 flight schedule on October 25, expanding seasonal travel options across China while maintaining an extensive international network connecting passengers with destinations across several continents.

In an announcement published on October 13, the Chinese airline said it plans to operate nearly 460 domestic routes serving almost 80 cities during the winter and spring season. Its international and regional network is planned to include 136 routes connecting 44 cities.

Hainan Airlines Plans More Than 70 Additional Domestic Routes

The new seasonal schedule includes plans to add more than 70 domestic route services involving cities such as Harbin, Haikou, Shenzhen, Xi'an and Urumqi.

The airline says the changes are intended to respond to seasonal travel demand, including winter tourism and holidays in warmer destinations. The adjustments also include increased frequencies on selected busy routes.

Among the city pairs highlighted by the airline are Beijing Capital–Sanya, Beijing Capital–Changsha, Beijing Capital–Shanghai Pudong and several services from Shenzhen and Guangzhou to major Chinese cities.

Passengers should check the actual operating dates and departure times for their chosen flights, as a seasonal schedule announcement does not mean that every planned service operates daily.

International Network Covers 44 Cities

For international travellers, Hainan Airlines plans to operate 136 international and regional routes serving 44 cities during the winter and spring season. The network spans Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania and Africa, according to the airline's announcement.

The network provides options for travellers visiting China, passengers travelling overseas and customers connecting between domestic Chinese cities and international destinations.

However, the published network figures describe the airline's planned seasonal operations. Individual routes, frequencies and departure times should be confirmed through the airline's official booking channels before travel.

Aircraft and European Route Changes

Separate schedule information published by aviation schedule specialist AeroRoutes indicates that Hainan Airlines plans aircraft changes on several routes from Beijing Capital Airport during late October and November 2026.

On the Beijing–Belgrade route, the report indicates that Boeing 787-9 aircraft are scheduled to replace Airbus A330-300 aircraft for the specified period, with two weekly flights listed. Aircraft assignments and schedules can change, so passengers should verify their individual flight details before departure.

These aircraft adjustments are separate from the airline's broader winter schedule announcement and should not be interpreted as confirmation of additional flights on every route.

What Passengers Should Check Before Travelling

  • Flight times: Seasonal changes may affect departure and arrival times.
  • Airport and terminal: Confirm the airport, terminal and check-in counter shown in your booking.
  • Connecting flights: Recheck connection times if your journey includes a domestic and international segment.
  • Aircraft information: Published aircraft types can change before departure.
  • Booking confirmation: Use the airline's official website or app for the latest information about your specific flight.

Travellers comparing different routes can also review available itineraries and fares before deciding which journey best fits their plans.

Why the Winter Schedule Matters

Airline schedule changes can influence travel planning during the Northern Hemisphere's winter season. Additional domestic services, changes in frequency and adjustments to aircraft capacity can affect the options available to passengers travelling within China or connecting to international destinations.

For international travellers, the key point is to check the route and flight date rather than relying only on the overall network announcement. The airline's final operating schedule and booking system remain the most useful sources for confirming a particular journey.
