Berlin BER Winter Flight Schedule 2026/2027: New Routes and Airlines
By Flight Travel News | October 21, 2026
BERLIN, Germany — Berlin Brandenburg Airport will introduce its 2026/2027 winter flight schedule on October 25, expanding its network to around 140 destinations in 50 countries as airlines increase services to Europe, the Middle East and northern Europe.
According to the airport operator, approximately 70 airlines will serve BER until March 27, 2027, offering around 10 more destinations than in the previous winter season. Italy is among the fastest-growing international markets from Berlin, while connections to the Gulf region and northern Europe are also receiving greater attention.
The winter programme includes six additional destinations for Wizz Air, a new airBaltic service to Finnish Lapland, daily Condor flights to Abu Dhabi and a weekly Air Algérie connection to Algiers.
Wizz Air Adds Six Destinations
Wizz Air is expanding its Berlin network with services to Vilnius, Sarajevo, Milan Malpensa, Pristina and Suceava, alongside its existing Sofia connection.
The airline began flying to Sofia four times a week on September 20. Flights to Vilnius are scheduled to start on October 26, with three weekly services. Sarajevo is due to join the network on December 3, with two flights per week.
Daily flights to Milan Malpensa are scheduled to begin on December 14. On the same date, Wizz Air plans to launch three weekly flights to Pristina, followed by three weekly services to Suceava from December 17.
The expansion will bring Wizz Air's BER network to 17 destinations in 13 countries, according to the airport's announcement.
Eurowings Expands Services to Italy and the Gulf
Eurowings will increase its winter offering with four weekly flights to Rome and three weekly flights to Bologna from November 2.
The airline is also scheduled to resume daily flights to Dubai on November 1 and twice-weekly services to Jeddah from November 12. Baghdad will become a new destination on December 10, with weekly service that is planned to increase to twice weekly during the Christmas and New Year period.
Additional winter services include flights to Sarajevo from December 20 and seasonal connections to Edinburgh between December 4 and January 4. The airline is also expanding its winter programme to Finnish Lapland, including Kuusamo, Rovaniemi and Kittilä.
Air Algérie Continues Berlin–Algiers Route
Air Algérie will continue operating its direct Berlin–Algiers connection during the winter season, with the weekly flight moving to Sundays.
From November 1, the published schedule lists a 13:55 departure from BER, arriving in Algiers at 16:35 local time. The return flight is scheduled to leave Algiers at 10:15 and arrive in Berlin at 12:55.
The connection restores a direct link between the German capital region and Algeria. From Algiers, passengers can also access Air Algérie's wider network, including destinations elsewhere in Africa.
Condor Opens Daily Abu Dhabi Service
Condor launched daily non-stop flights between Berlin and Abu Dhabi on October 15, ahead of the winter schedule. The service operates under a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways.
The route provides Berlin passengers with a direct connection to the United Arab Emirates and access to onward connections through Etihad's network, including destinations in Asia, Africa and Australia.
Qatar Airways is also scheduled to restore three daily flights between Berlin and Doha from November 1, adding further connecting options for international travellers.
New Winter Connections to Northern Europe
Latvian carrier airBaltic will introduce a weekly direct service from BER to Kuusamo in Finnish Lapland on December 19.
Eurowings is scheduled to launch its own Kuusamo service on December 20 and increase flights to Rovaniemi and Kittilä compared with the previous winter season. The new services provide additional options for passengers planning winter holidays in northern Finland.
easyJet will operate seasonal flights to Newcastle in northeast England twice a week from November 20 to December 21. During the winter schedule, the airline will also serve both Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate.
Terminal 2 Opening Hours to Change
BER has announced that Terminal 2 opening arrangements will change from November 2. Depending on the airline, check-in will open approximately two to two and a half hours before departure.
Passengers travelling with hand luggage only can also use the security checkpoints in Terminal 1, which are scheduled to open at 04:00. The airport says all departure gates are accessible from all security checkpoints.
More Options for the Winter Travel Season
The new schedule reflects continued changes in Berlin's international air links, with airlines adding routes for city breaks, seasonal holidays and long-haul connections.
For passengers, the expansion means more destinations and additional choices of airline and departure time. However, routes and frequencies can change, and the published timetable does not guarantee that every flight will operate on every date.
Travellers are advised to confirm departure dates, baggage rules and flight times directly with their airline before booking or travelling.
